Rusteam in Space!

A couple of months ago, Etsy has teamed up with NASA and announced a Space Craft Contest. Handmade items inspired by the NASA Space Shuttle Program were to be submitted in the three categories: 2D Original, 2D Reproduction, and 3D Art. The fabulous prizes were announced. The overall Grand Prize would consist of a $500 Etsy shopping spree and a V.I.P. invitation for the winner and one guest to attend an upcoming Space Shuttle Launch attempt at the Kennedy Space Center (KSC) in Florida. The three "Best in Category" prizes would consist of a $250 Etsy shopping spree and a Sponsor gift package of NASA and Etsy merchandise.

Two of our team members have entered the contest. BlueberryCream entered in 3D Art category with her "Abstract rocket ship in sterling silver" necklace.

And FleetingStillness entered in 2D Original category with her "Space Odyssey Stained Glass Transom"

Both of our entrants have passed the initial screening and made it into the semi-final where all works were voted for by our fellow Etsians.

Today we are very happy to announce that both BlueberryCream and FleetingStillness made it to the Space Craft Contest final! Way to go!

CONGRATULATIONS!!!
