Interview with a Star - Lana at FineEmbroidery

This post is the first from many others Interviews with a Star. So... Our first Star - Lana

I have two stores on Etsy:
www.FineEmbroidery.etsy.com
www.FunEmbroidery.etsy.com

Fine Embroidery is a unique service that offers the most exquisite hand and hand-guided machine embroidery available today.
I am exhibiting unique 3 dimensional embroidery Art Works, which have been made in the Trapunto style. I am offering custom Greeting Cards, Monograms, handmade suede Bags, various Accessories and one of a kind embroidered Jewelry.

I started to make my Suede Bags and Accessories Collection as a hobby exclusively for myself.
Then I realized that a lot of people liked my work.
To make my unique bags I am using suede, natural stones, wood and ivory beads.
My design style is very feminine.

My most favorite works are custom Monograms in Victorian style.
Making them is a very delicate and time consuming process.
At the beginning I make a sketch if the artwork according to the client’s request.
Then I create the embroidery on the hand guided machine, which is considered to be handmade embroidery. This machine gives me an opportunity to make embroidery very dimensional and delicate.
I have been producing these monograms for a very long time, especially on the handkerchiefs, bed linens, napkins, towels, and all kinds of wedding accessories.
This exclusive embroidery evokes the old-time feeling, when owning elegant items were considered extremely important compared to the cheaply priced mass-produced ones.

Just recently I had an opportunity to tell about my embroidered Greeting cards in Keeping Things Simple Blog, please, look at the link:

My most favorite works are embroidered Artworks.

Three of my Artworks were dedicated to the Venetian Carnival
These Art pieces are one-of-a-kind. Embroidered pictures inspired by romantic historical images and unique masks of Venetian carnival. Embroidered details placed on hand painted “Dupioni” silk.
Pictures made from gorgeous fabrics in different styles and unique techniques. Wonderful pieces of velvet, satin, organza, tulle, silk, suede, lace and iridescent fabric have been used to create details. Embroidery has been done by silk, metallic, rayon, and unique holographic threads.
“Swarovski” crystals are adding drama and creating sparkling colors combination with other finest glass beads. Variety of rich, unique and extravagant feather pieces from exotic birds has been used for decoration.
3-dimensional technique required special attention; it was designed for these particular projects with intention to show most important details of the compositions on watercolor background.
Embroidered details were made in "Trapunto" style.

I received 15 prestigious International Awards for my designs and embroidery. Most recently I have been recognized by Elle and Stitches magazines for my embroidered artworks.
